During this inspection, the mold inspectors will also be taking air samples to send off to the lab for analysis. The basic mold inspection consists of a minimum of 3 samples. Additional sampling may be needed depending on what my visual inspection found. In some instances, the mold inspectors will take surface samples to be sent to the lab for analysis. Before the mold technicians leave, they will go over their visual findings with you.
Once your mold inspector is done with the mold inspection and sampling, they then send these samples off to the lab to determine what kind and amount of mold, if any, is present.
