 Owasso Home Inspections

Owasso is one of the largest suburbs of Tulsa. I can remember it being just a wide spot in Hwy 169 30 years ago. As a home inspector in Owasso, I’m amazed at how quickly this city has grown. This is another Tulsa suburb that has a high standard of living. Low crime and beautiful, peaceful and affordable neighborhoods has made Owasso a place where a lot of people want to raise their families.

New construction has really taken off in the city in recent years. Where once large fields or open woods existed, now large expanses of homes exist. Many of these newer subdivisions consist of mid to large size homes. Check out the City-Data site for more info on this gem of an Oklahoma city.

Owasso also has some beautiful older homes that date way back into last century. Over the years many of these have been updated. Unfortunately, not all of them have been done properly. This is where you need a home inspector experienced in performing Owasso home inspections.. Whether you’re having a new home built in one of the many awesome subdivisions there or buying one of the old monarchs of Owasso, you need a home inspector who can look beyond the facade and determine if there are any surprises waiting for you after closing. Whether it’s new home construction or a 100-year-old Craftsman, I bring experience in all styles of homes to give you an excellent idea of on the condition of the home you’re buying.

Owasso home inspections can be a challenge to perform. Simply because you never know the quality of the home you’ll be inspecting. Over the years there have been so many Builders in the area with so many different types of quality standards, you just never know what you’ll find.

Do New Homes In Owasso Have Problems?

Yes, yes they do! I’ve inspected many new homes in Stone Canyon and elsewhere that had major issues the County and/or City Inspectors missed or simply ignored. What’s worse, when confronted with my report detailing these issues, some of the Builders simply refused to correct these discrepancies saying my Clients should have caught those during construction!

Check out this article I wrote a few years ago. It really got the attention of a few Builders!  Owasso New Home Builder Refuses to Honor Home Warranty

Just because you’re buying a new home, doesn’t mean you won’t have problems with it. Some of the new homes I’ve inspected in Owasso have just as many problems as used homes! Unfortunately, many new Owasso home buyers think buying new and getting a Builders warranty will prevent them from ever having problems. This just isn’t so. Even homes that the city inspectors inspected aren’t immune from major defects. I’ve covered the issues with city inspectors in article after article in my 17 years of experience. Needless to say, having an independent home inspection by an Inspector who has real-world building experience as well as a solid code base will ensure you get the most out of your new home!

Do You Provide Mold Testing & Inspections in Owasso?

Yes, I do. I am a Certified Mold and Radon Tester. A big part of a mold inspection is looking for a source of water. Mold needs water to survive. If you do have Mold, either there was a water intrusion problem in the past or you currently have one!

My nearly two decades of home inspection experience lends itself well to discovering these intrusion problems. My mold inspection services in Owasso starts out by providing you with an in-depth home inspection with a focus on searching for conditions that are conducive for mold to exist.

After that detailed inspection has concluded, I then decide how many mold samples to take and send off to a certified lab to be analyzed. After the results are back (and if mold is confirmed) I will be happy to go over your remediation options!

Call me today at 918-927-0258 for all your home or mold inspection needs if you live in Owasso or anywhere in Northeast Oklahoma!

I'm a professional home inspector who serves Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Jenks, Bixby, Coweta and all of Green Country in Oklahoma.
